"Paris" by Maya Baghirova

She came all the way from Baku to Paris, from music to photography. She independently studied the basics of photo art and left to get an education at Spéos and Paris Match school. Being left alone in the city, without knowing the language, Maya observed it through the lens – and her monochrome photos kept so much truth that it was impossible to walk by. She received a number of prestigious international awards in photo art, last year she became the finalist of Grand Prix Etudiant de Paris Match. And now in Art Tower gallery within the Francophonie Week festival the first private Baku exhibition of Maya Baghirova called “Paris” takes place. It is a unique opportunity to see the French capital with her eyes – the city of stone statues and huge birds.

The exhibition is open until 24 April.
