Stephen King, Stanley Kubrick and Jack Nicholson, all of them are skilled specialists and joint collaboration turned out to be fruitful. Despite of numerous first night reviews, the film wasn’t to King liking either, presently “The Shining” is in the list of top 250 best films and it is recognized, as one of the greatest movies in history.

Every person heard about this horror film and most likely watched one hundred mockeries of this horror. However, you should watch a movie itself (you might even find the film original, which was produced in Japan). Tape video-recorders are not available anymore for a long time now, thus it is possible to watch without any particular fear. However, even if the evil tape will find you, you won’t be able to watch it.

It is impossible to write about horrors and not to mention Hitchcock. « Psycho» is the cult US psychological horror movie and it deserves spending time on it. And if you are pressed of time, 4 "Oscar" nominations and «Gold globe» award should over-persuade you to watch it.

Nicole Kidman en shrouded in mystic horror atmosphere… What could be more beautiful? Gross of the movie exceeded the budget by 12 times, Nicole Kidman received the "Saturn" award as the Best actress and the movie collected 8 "Goya" statuettes.

«The exorcist»

William Fridkin knows all subtle features of genre (it comes as no surprise, when he became one of main directors of "New Hollywood”). One of his most known works is «The Exorcist» which was nominated for ten "Oscar" awarded and received two of them. Namely, the episode from this film took the second place in rating of “the Most scariest moments in a cinematograph». If you withstand this film, then it will be impossible to frighten you.
