Azerbaijani brands at Royal Ascot

Every year in June in the UK one of the most prestigious social events in the world is held – the Royal Ascot races. For five days, ladies in incredible hats and gentlemen dressed in accordance with the strictest etiquette, watch the competitions and participate in social events. This tradition was first introduced by Queen Anne in 1711. Today, Royal Ascot is under the patronage of Queen Elizabeth II.
In five days, seventeen races take place, in which horses from the royal stables take part. The prize pool is four million pounds. The Queen personally presents the Gold Cup to the winner. All awards are created by the jewellery brand Garrard.
At the same time, Royal Ascot holds secret competitions for fashionistas, who show off their extravagant hats.

This year, outfits, hats and jewellery for this momentous event were presented at an event held at The Ritz London. The organizers were the British companies Fortras Limited and UX PR & Events with the support of AWAUK.

Along with international brands, Azerbaijani designers also presented their works: silk shawls with national ornaments by Salamakhina Azerbaijan, exquisite “star” jewellery by Narmeen, all the Velour dresses and silk dresses by Lumier plus size.

“Hat” theme was voiced by Azerbaijani designer Samira Ismailova and London couturier Samira Ebrahimi. The guests of the event were greatly impressed by the decorations of the British jewellery house Mozaffarian and the exclusive from Sqwears Couture.

“We are very pleased to know that this year the works of Azerbaijani designers will be presented at Royal Ascot. They looked great in the luxurious interiors of The Ritz and were enthusiastically greeted by the sophisticated luxury of the London public,” Aga Rasulov, General Director of Fortras told us.
