THICK AND THIN

OH, FASHION VICTIMS, TREMBLE! THOSE, WHO CHASE AFTER THE NEWEST TRENDS, BEWARE! THEY ALREADY LAUGH AT YOU. AND THEY DO IT IN A VERY SUBTLE AND CLASSY WAY.

He tears down! – аctivity of the young fashion illustrator Achraf Amiri may be characterized in such way. Rather snide illustrations of Amiri are devoted to the "faultless" fashion world. All values of the fashion-industry are altered, inverted, style icons are teased and almost derided in artist’s works.
Achraf Amiri is a young artist, director and illustrator. He was born in Brussels in 1988 and presently lives in London. Amiri is a young, creatively thinking and a bold person, who loves self-expressing in different creative directions. His animated film “Trashion Magazine” embodying concealed sarcasm is just the art form, which we like the most.
Though the artist wears stylish outfit and up to the latest fashion trends, all this doesn’t prevent him from drawing in mockery way the associations, evoked by today's podium and those sitting on front row.
Exclusively for Nargis magazine Achraf Amiri illustrated the brightest accessory – shoes from autumn collections of Christian Dior, Dolce and Gabbana, Nina Ricci, Versace, Viktor and Rolf, Vivienne Westwood. Thus he demonstrated his special, shocking attitude to the trends of the present season.
However, doubts creep in, whether the author really deride modern fashion or not? Or something significant is concealed behind his sarcastic drawings?
